Voices of the Next 250 is a nationwide art and civics contest celebrating America’s 250th anniversary by uplifting student voice, creativity, and vision.

Expanding beyond elementary classrooms, this middle and high school edition invites students to imagine themselves as future leaders and to express through art how they would shape a better America.

What can I submit?
All forms of creative arts are welcome, including (but not limited to):
- Drawing / Painting
- Digital Art / Graphic Design
- Photography
- Mixed Media / Collage
- Sculpture (submitted as photos)
- Poetry / Prose
- Essay
- Short Film
- Spoken Word
- Dance
Artist Statement
Each submission must include a written component.
Artist Statement (150-300 words)
Please explain:
- Your idea or message
- What change you would make as President
- How your work represents that vision
- Any details of your artistic process you'd like to share
